Magellan Penguins at Punta Tombo Reserve
The Punta Tombo Reserve is approximately a two hour drive from Puerto Madryn, Argentina.   In this low rangeland one can drive hours between towns.  Punta Tombo is populated by approximately 1,000,000 Magellan penguins. The birds migrate north by mid March.
The nests are fascinating.  I assume that the penguin above  is trying to keep cool!
Guanacos are a wild animal that populates this area of Argentina.  Guanacos are relatives of the camel.
