Indian Canyons
Indian Canyons is  a high desert area that is located near Palm Springs.  The land is owned by the Agua Caliente Indians.  A hike reveals the Washingtonian Palms in oasis settings.  The fronds of the Washingtonians do not fall off and form a long skirt around the base of the trees.
Our guide describes how this palm has been bent by strong winds.
Lynn learned that this sign meant business when she spotted a rattler on our hike.  The large lizard on the right is common to this area.
